Some students from Albany State University are in Washington D.C. to commemorate one of the most historical marches in Civil Right history.

ASU students travelled to the nation's capital to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 'March on Washington' and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I have a dream speech'.

Kevious Bass, with the ASU Student Government Association, says the group left this Thursday morning.

Before the march on Saturday, the group of 23 students plans to participate in pre-march rallies and town hall meetings about voting rights.

The students will return to Albany on Sunday.
