ASU opens arms to new leader
Albany State University and the Albany community gave a welcome party Monday afternoon for Interim President Dr. and Mrs. Arthur N. Dunning.
Before joining ASU, Dr. Dunning served as the vice chancellor for services with the University System of Georgia and vice president for Public Service and Outreach at UGA.
Dr. Dunning hopes to work on retention and graduation rates.
"We are such a tremendous asset to the Albany community we bring economic capital, as well as social capital. Those are things that we add. So the community has embraced all of that and we want to make sure that we take that to a higher level," said Dr. Arthur Dunning, ASU Interim President.
