ASU Online Nursing Program is among the nation's best

The results of the U.S. News and World Report top online education programs survey are out and the Albany State University online nursing graduate degree is ranked as one of the best in the nation.
In the Top Online Nursing Graduate Degree Ranking for 2012, ASU has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a provider of one of the nation's top online nursing graduate degrees. The results were based on a nationwide survey of 231 institutions with graduate nursing programs. The four modules considered in the rankings included admissions selectivity, faculty credentials and training, student engagement and accreditation, and student services and technology.
ASU received impressive rankings in three of the four modules as follows:
-Admissions and selectivity - ranked #18 nationally and #1 in Georgia;
-Student services and technology - ranked #19 nationally and #1 in Georgia;
-Student engagement and accreditation - ranked #47 nationally and #4 in Georgia.
"I am proud of ASU's online nursing degree programs and the information technology team that produces this quality program for our students," said Dr. Joyce Johnson, dean of the ASU College of Sciences and Health Professions. "I applaud the Nursing Department for making a difference in the lives of our students and contributing to the health of Southwest Georgia by preparing mid-level providers and nurse educators at a time when the need is greatest."
