The Downtown Arts Coalition met on Wednesday evening to talk about where the Art Park on Pine stands.

President Cameron Malphrus says the building is structurally sound and ready to have events, now they need donations to put the finishing touches on it.

The DAC says they'll need furniture and other items that can be recycled for use so they can start holding events like farmer's markets, concerts, art shows and more.

The park will debut Mardi Gras weekend where a makeshift entrance will be created while the sidewalk construction is completed. The group says once the sidewalk is completed in April, they'll start holding more events.

If you have a piece of furniture or an item you'd like to donate, drop it off inside the back of the Art Park or send them an email at Info@artparkonpine.com.
