The Albany Museum of Art will be closing their latest exhibit January 5th, and hopes that folks will take full advantage of its last week out.
Currator of Art, Merritt Giles, says this particular exhibit is different in that every piece is taken directly from the museum's private collection.
"The current exhibit is Mixing Media, and it's all selections from our permanent collection. So everything you see on the walls are pieces the museum actually owns, it's kept and maintained right here," said Giles.
And the pieces range from sculture to paintings, something Giles says makes this particular exhibit special.
"The exhibit brings a lot of pieces that aren't normally out on the floor, plus the different pieces are split up to show the variety we have in our own collection," said Giles.
The exhibit will remain open through January 5th, and museum officials hope everyone will make a trip down to see the seldom seen pieces of art.
