Arrests made in Tift County Dairy Queen robbery
According to Sgt. Dorminey McCrae with the Tifton Police Department, an 18-year old Tift County female and a 16-year-old Berrien County female were arrested in connection to a Dairy Queen robbery.
Officials say Around 9:00 p.m. Monday night a female ran into the Tift County Dairy Queen, pointed a small handgun at two employees, and demanded money.
The 16-year-old juvenile then allegedly ran outside, fired three rounds into the air, and then jumped into a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Courtney Dennes Falcon.
After responding to the scene, officials set up a perimeter and went searching for the vehicle, which they found parked at a residence. When the two suspects exited the home, they were detained and taken into custody.
Officials say the 16-year-old was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct, and possession of marijuana while Falcon was charged with armed robbery and possession of marijuana.
