      Arrest warrant leads to meth lab discovery

      29-year-old Janice Butterfield is charged with one count of criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamines. / Colquitt County Jail

      While out serving an arrest warrant, Colquitt County Drug Agents and Sheriff's Deputies stumbled upon a meth lab.

      Around 7:00 AM Tuesday, officers arrived at 936 Shade Murphy Road in Moultrie to serve an arrest warrant on 33-year-old Dustin Jones for a probation violation.

      Jones tried to flee but was quickly apprehended.

      A search of the residence produced ingredients and containers believed to manufacture methamphetamines.

      29-year-old Janice Butterfield, who was in the home at the time, was also arrested.

      Butterfield and Jones are being charged with one count of criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamines.

      Jones also faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
