Arrest made in Valdosta hotel burglary
A man in Valdosta has been arrested after police say he broke into a hotel room on September 15.
Valdosta police say that the victim told them that someone had stolen multiple items from her room and also said she believed the suspect to be 45-year-old Darron Lee.
Officers began their investigation noted that there had been forced entry to the room.
When officer's when to a possible address for Lee, they noticed multiple items from the burglary on the front porch and neighbors described a subject matching Lee’s description being in the area around the front porch with a bag during the time of the burglary.
Lee was later spotted on Pendleton Place and ran to avoid officers, resulting in a K-9 Unit being called in to help with the capture.
Lee has been charged with burglary, but further charges are pending according to police.
