Arrest made in Valdosta armed robbery
The Valdosta Police Department has made an arrest in an early October armed robbery and burglary.
On October 3, the Valdosta police responded to the 1500 block of N. Patterson Street in reference to an armed robbery.
The victim told police he was approached by two African American males, one of which pointed a handgun at him. The men asked the victim for his money; the victim said he didn't have any so the suspect's followed him to his apartment and stole several items. They also took him to an ATM so he could get money from his debit card and give it to them.
The victim wasn't injured during the incident.
VPD sent out a press release today saying they've arrested Michael Humphrey, age 17, as one of the suspect's in the incident. Humphrey was charged with Armed Robbery and Burglary and is currently in the Lowndes County Jail.
