Fitzgerald officers are uninjured after being shot at early Friday morning.

Fitzgerald Police Chief William Smallwood tells FOX 31 that the officers approached a vehicle in the middle of the 800 block of North Thomas Street around 1 a.m.

The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Anthony Johnson, drove off and fired four shots at officers from a nearby intersection.
