      Armed robbery at Subway

The Dougherty County Police Department is looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place Thursday evening at a Subway located at the corner of 1637 Liberty Expressway and Williamsburg Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, six-foot, slim build, wearing a skull cap to cover his face, a black hoodie and pajama pants. This man came in to Subway and several shots were fired. One went through the Subway bread oven causing the front glass to shatter.

There were two female employees working; one employee was in the restroom when the man entered. She heard the other girl upfront scream so she ran and hid in the cooler. There are no injuries and nothing was stolen.

The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived.

Captain Jimmy Sexton of the Dougherty County Police says " if there is someone out there who happened to be driving by at that time or who seen this individual or someone dressed that way earlier in the evening we would certainly like to hear from them.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
