An Albany man is facing charges after getting into an argument and allegedly firing gunshots at two teenage girls.
Around 1:45 p.m., police responded to a call in reference to a shooting at 709 Apt. A on Corn Avenue.
Kyianna Williams, 16, and Thameaski Williams, 14 were inside when an argument broke out between her and Fredrick Dontria Anderson, 32.
Witnesses in the community say the male was one the the girls' boyfriend.
"The guy got her outside. When he got her outside he shot at her a couple time. When he shot at her, she took off running and he took off," says Captain Matt Green, with the Albany Police Department.
The suspect got away in a dark colored vehicle.
After hours of searching, Anderson turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center and was taken into custody.
Jackson Barber and Beauty Shop owner John Jackson was at the scene of the crime. He says after spending years in south Albany, he hates to see crime seep into the area.
"I've had my business in this area for about 28 years and we never had that kind of problem around here yet," says Jackson.
Anderson is facing charges for aggravated assault.
Police say after an investigation, they found that the suspect had became angry with the girls and fired shots at them.
