With severe weather season on the horizon, southwest Georgians are getting prepared.
FOX 31 spoke to several residents today who have plans of their own for when disaster strikes. They all said they have canned goods stores, and they do exercises with their kids to prepare for floods, tornadoes, things of that nature.
Our very own meteorologist Kerri Copello, says southwest Georgians need to be on the lookout for thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and the potential for heavy rains and flooding in the next few months. Copello says you need to have a NOAA weather radio, and know where your safe place in your home is.
