APD urges parents to watch teens on New Years
There will be a lot of people out celebrating the new year Tuesday night.
The Albany Police Department is urging the public to stay safe and for parents to always know where their children are.
The teen curfew ordinance doesn't allow anyone under 18 to be out between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekdays and midnight and 6 a.m. on weekends unless with an adult.
"You need to know where your kids are for their safety. Kids need to be with an adult late at night and have them inside around midnight," Cpl. Dustin Hickox said.
APD says they will have all hands on deck for the holiday.
