APD officer arrested for DUI

Albany Police officer, Patrick Browner, arrested by Georgia State Patrol officers, charged with DUI and following too closely. / Dougherty County Jail


Officials with the Georgia State Patrol have now confirmed the details of the incident. Officer Browner was reportedly driving west on Dawson Rd. when he approached a vehicle stopped at a red light.

Browner proceeded to rear-end the vehicle at the intersection of Dawson and Pointe North. The other driver was reportedly taken to Phoebe North and there is no word on his condition.

Officials with the Georgia State Patrol are investigating an incident involving an Albany Police officer that occurred earlier today.

Officer Patrick Browner has been placed in the Dougherty County Jail after he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, and following too closely from behind. Officials with the Dougherty County Jail have confirmed these charges and are currently holding Browner.
