APD makes arrest in assault that leaves victim in critical condition

The Albany Police Department arrested two individuals for aggravated assault in a case that left the victim in critical condition since the attack in March.

APD says that on March 17, James Donterris Wheeler III, 31, was found inside a Toyota Camry unconscious. Wheeler, who was beaten, was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for severe head trauma. Authorities say Wheeler is still at the hospital in critical care and is being monitored.

After following names and leads, detectives say they arrested Rashad Peterson, 26, and Jermaine Harrison, 25. Both are charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
