APD increases patrol after multiple car break-ins involving minors
ALBANY, Ga. —
After the car break-ins that Albany has seen this year, Albany police are stepping up their patrols at night.
Many of the car break-ins this year deals with minors, and it’s happening after the curfew time.
After analyzing where the crimes are happening, the department is increasing patrol in those areas.
Albany police are asking for parents to know where their kids are at night to potentially help prevent crime.
“They’re responsible for their children,” Sgt. Rodney Wells said. “If they’re at home, they’re not breaking any cars or committing any crimes, and that’s best for all parties involved.”
The City’s curfew is 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
