The Albany Police Department and Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler are looking into a suspicious death of a 21-year-old black female.
Officials say that around 9 a.m. Thursday morning, someone from a residence on Sutton Lane in East Albany called EMS about a situation with a woman.
EMS transported the woman to Phoebe Putney where she was pronounced dead.
The woman is being transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab in Macon for further investigation.
