An early morning shooting sends victim(s) to Phoebe

UPDATE (1:30 AM):

The Albany Police Department responded to a call off of East Broad Avenue in reference to a shooting early Thursday morning.

The victim, Prentice Davis, told police he was riding his bike on East Broad when a vehicle, possibly a brown or silver Ford Taurus, pulled up.

A male suspect jumped out of the vehicle and began firing a weapon.

At this time, there is no suspect description and it is unknown how many people were in the vehicle.

Davis was struck in the stomach and transported to the hospital.

This is an active investigation; anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.
