Albany woman gets big surprise from friends
It's safe to say Kathy Williams has faced several obstacles over the past few years. In 2009 her house burnt down causing her to have to find a new home and move. In 2010 she got sick, and this past August she had to go through having surgery that kept her off her feet for a while.
Ever since she can remember she's been decorating her house for Halloween, Christmas, New Years, the 4th of July, and Memorial Day, but this year she just didn't have the strength to do all of that decorating alone.
Williams said on October 10th her friends and family stepped up to the plate and started helping her get out the decorations and cover the front yard and porch with them. She said she can't put into words how much it means to her that people would help her so much in her time of need.
Williams said having these decorations up just makes it feel like home to her and she says looking at them makes her forget about the troubles in her life.
