Albany war memorials vandalized Saturday
For most, Memorial Day is spent remembering the brave men and women that fought for our freedom.
Multiple people contacted FOX 31 Saturday afternoon to report that the war memorials in downtown Albany were vandalized with black spray paint.
The paint is covering the names of Albany servicemen who gave their lives in Vietnam and World War II.
BJ Fletcher says she's "angry and can't believe some punk would do this." Fletcher adds that she is looking for volunteers to come and help wash off the paint.
The Albany Police Department is currently at the memorial sites investigating.
