Albany Technical College's Child Development Demonstration Center received a Bearable Hugs donation Wednesday morning from the Department of Human Resources.

The award was presented by Teresa Mills with DHR Support Service division.

DHR's Bearable Hugs program is an annual campaign that kicks off by donating stuffed animals to those in the community, and this year they chose Albany Tech's Child Development center.

Charlene Duncan, the associate dean for early childhood affairs at the development center, said she is excited the center is getting recognized because she, along with the rest of her staff, puts in a lot of time not only with the children, but teaching students as well.
