On Saturday morning, Albany Tech gave students the chance to get a head start, with their open house.

Community members, high school students, and aspiring students got the chance to come to the school and get a first hand look at all the information they need to attend.

Guests got the chance to talk with instructors and current students about their experience, and officials say it's a great way to see what the school is all about.

Assistant Academics Director Barbara Brown says,"we're trying to encourage them to get up and move and stop thinking about it but to get engaged to actually come out and start taking the steps they need to take in order to go into the careers they've always desired to be in."

This is the 10th year for the open house, and if you were curious the first day of classes for fall will kick off August 21st.
