Albany Technical College and State Farm celebrated 10-students Monday that were awarded a scholarship for Driver's Education classes.
Officials say $2,500 dollars was given to the students which will help them take Driver's Education classes over the summer months.
But maybe even more important is these scholarships can take the weight off mom and dad.
"It absolutely is, and more importantly it's a benefit to the parents because most insurance companies will give a discount for those that have proper driver's education," said Albany Technical College representative, Matt Trice.
Each student was required to submit an essay to be part of the scholarship, and school officials say they couldn't have been more impressed with the work turned in.
