Albany police need your help finding man charged with assault on a child

Albany police say Jamie Jackson is in custody after turning himself in.

According to APD, Jackson's vehicle has been found by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle was found unoccupied and no contact with Jackson has been made at this time.
Albany police also corrected the tag to his vehicle: ED7V00
Albany police need your help finding a man charged with battery on a child.
30-year-old Jamie Jackson is wanted for aggravated battery and battery in an assault on a three year old.
Investigator Kawaski Barnes with the Albany Police Department says during the assault the little girl received "severe swelling to her face, bite marks to her extremities, and a ruptured ear drum as a result of the assault. She's recovering and will be okay.
Jackson's last known address is 2300 Block of Sharon Drive Albany, Georgia but he may also reside at 1300 Block of Estelle Drive or in Camilla, Georgia.
He drives an olive green 1996 Jeep Cherokee bearing Georgia tag number AKN 2045.
