      Albany police need your help finding man charged with assault on a child

      Albany police say Jamie Jackson is in custody after turning himself in.

      First Update (3/8/12)According to APD, Jackson's vehicle has been found by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle was found unoccupied and no contact with Jackson has been made at this time.Albany police also corrected the tag to his vehicle: ED7V00 Initial StoryAlbany police need your help finding a man charged with battery on a child.30-year-old Jamie Jackson is wanted for aggravated battery and battery in an assault on a three year old.

      Investigator Kawaski Barnes with the Albany Police Department says during the assault the little girl received severe swelling to her face, bite marks to her extremities, and a ruptured ear drum as a result of the assault.
