Albany police make arrests in Merry Acres Inn shooting

Albany police say they have dropped charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges against Sydney kerlegon and Travin Bryant in this case.
Officials say that detectives, who continue to work aggressively on the case, filed the necessary paperwork for the dismissal of the warrants immediately after obtaining new information through interviews regarding the incident.
Initial Story (11/27/12)
The Albany Police Department have arrested two men in connection to the weekend shooting at Merry Acres Inn.
Officials say that APD detectives along with the Metro Albany-Dougherty SWAT arrested 21-year-old Sydney Kerlegon and 19-year-old Travin Bryant and that the arrests were made without incident.
Officers took the two men to the Law Enforcement Center for interviews. Afterwards, both were charged with aggravated assault and transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
The two arrests were the result of a tip detectives received from a concerned citizen.
