Albany Police looking for suspect in Hobson Street stabbing

The Albany Police Department is looking for 32-year-old Lecory Walker in connection to an early morning assault.

According to Phyllis Banks, Walker is suspected of breaking into the Hobson Street apartment of 25-year-old Shunkela Williams. He then began to fight with 22-year-old Roger Lewis, who was a visitor to the apartment. During the altercation between the suspect and Lewis, Lewis's cousin, 19-year-old Lewis Burke, heard about the altercation and came to the apartment to assist. Upon arrival, he got into a struggle with the suspect. This struggle led to Burke being stabbed at least twice in the upper chest and back with an unknown object. The suspect fled the scene afterwards.

Banks said that Lewis sustained minor injuries while Burke has been transported to the hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

Walker is described as being 5'09', about 168 pounds,and having brown eyes. His last known address is 3127 Plains Lane, Albany, Ga. 31705
