Albany police are investigating after a man was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning on South Jackson Street.

Officers say they responded to a call shortly after 1 AM to a home in the 2400 block of South Jackson Street in response to an armed robbery report.

There, the witness, 26-year-old Jeffrey Williams, told officers that two black males entered the residence without permission and robbed him at gunpoint with shotguns.

After robbing Williams, the suspects fled the scene.

Investigators say that no injuries have been reported and what was taken during the robbery is unknown at that time.
