Albany police investigate early morning break-ins

Albany police say that two brothers, ages 15 and 16, have been charged with burglary in the second degree for the break-in at the Homerun Foods.
Albany police are investigating two early morning break-ins .
The first was at Maryland Friend Chicken on Slappey Boulevard. Someone smashed drive-thru window with a rock just before 3:20 Monday morning, July 8.
The burglar was only inside the restaurant for about a minute then ran off without an undetermined amount of cash.
Then just before 3:30 a.m., the Homerun Foods at 3315 Gillionville Road was burglarized.
The burglar smashed through the front glass door and took off with cigars and cigarettes.
No word yet if the two break-ins are related.
