Albany Police Department officials are honoring one of the police department's fallen officers.
Corporal Terry Lewis-Flemming passed away in the line of duty in October 2011.
APD Chief John Proctor says this memorial came about at the request of Flemming's coworkers and the community.
Officials hope the two plaques serves as a visible reminder of Corporal Flemming's life and dedication to her job and the people she served.
"To know that she dedicated her life to this community and tried to do the right thing to protect this city is enormous and this is just a small token show this community and show this organization that we stand behind them and we stand behind ours," said Chief John Proctor, Albany Police Department.
One plaque has been placed in the APD Museum while another hangs in the police meeting room.
