In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know if our local law enforcement agencies are doing anything special for Halloween.

The Albany Police Department says they'll be participating in their annual Pumpkin Patrol on Halloween.

Throughout the night, officers in decorated police vehicles will patrol each district for any illegal activity and hand out candy to kids that are trick-or-treating.

APD Public Information Officer Phyllis Banks says parents should remind children to never accept or eat candy that doesn't look properly wrapped. Banks says kids should also wear reflective strips on their costumes and make sure they can see clearly through any masks to ensure their safety.

Officers will also be looking for any gang activity throughout the night and asks kids that will be out to refrain from all acts of vandalism.
