Albany police arrest Dorks armed robbery suspect

Albany police say that a second person has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery.
Police say that 24-year-old Shandrondra Sheard has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and party to a crime.
First Update (11/8/13):
Albany police officers responded to Dorks Books, located in the 2900 block of Gillionville Road, in reference to an armed robbery Thursday afternoon.
The suspect, 24-year-old Eugene Craig McArthur, entered the business and demanded money using a handgun.
Afterwards, he fled the scene on foot.
Officers spotted him in the neighborhood behind the business and took off running.
McArthur was apprehended a short distance away and the stolen items were recovered.
McArthur was charged by APD Robbery/Homicide Detectives with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He was transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
Albany police say that they have made an arrest after Dorks Books was the victim of an armed robbery Thursday.
Police say say they caught the suspect in a drainage ditch in the 1500 block of Westwood after a brief foot chase.
Investigators are still conducting interviews at this time.
