Albany man stabbed; wounds not life threatening

Argument leads to fight, fight leads to stabbing

24-year-old Derrick Brinner was stabbed possibly multiple times by a 26-year-old female who's name is not being released because she hasn't been official charged yet.

Albany Police responded to 337 A Station Crossing around 6-pm Wednesday evening. APD said the two got into and argument which led to a fight. The female obtained a knife and stabbed Brinner. He was shortly after taken to the hospital.

The two were boyfriend-girlfriend. The suspect is in custody at the Law Enforcement Center. More information will be available Thursday.
