      Albany man held up getting into his car

      Police say that Michael Evans stated that while attempting to get into his vehicle, he was approached by a masked suspect with a gun. The man threatened him and demanded his belongings. / File

      Albany police say they are investigating after a man was held up Thursday evening while getting into his vehicle at the Neighborhood Grocery on Johnson Road.

      Police say that Michael Evans stated that while attempting to get into his vehicle, he was approached by a masked suspect with a gun. The man threatened him and demanded his belongings.

      The suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash and Evans left the scene. Evans then returned a short time later to call police.
