Albany High students go through the hiring process
Albany High School is preparing their students for careers with mock interviews.
Students from 10 -12th grade have the opportunity to receive mock interviews from officials throughout the community. The process includes taking their cover letters and resumes into the interview as well as dressing in business attire. Additionally, the school tries to match the student with an official from their field of interest, in the best way they can.
The students are then graded on how they filled out their job application, how they did on their interview, resume, and cover letter.
Charlie Baker, a junior, and Ambassador of Future Business Leaders of America hosted the event. He says this is a great opportunity for high school student to understand the preparation of getting a job.
Baker says an around 400 Albany High School students are planning to have their mock interview today.
