The Flint Riverquarium and Darton Boosters, Inc. teamed up Saturday to hold the first ever Color the Grove 5k.

Hundreds of people lined the sidewalk by the Flint River with colored powder in their hand, ready to run.

There were six color stations along the path of the run with volunteers ready to color the streets and the people as they came by.

Organizers say this event is a positive way to bring people to downtown Albany and show them what the city has to offer. They also said with the great turnout, the riverquarium and Darton are both really going to benefit from this.
