Mon, 09 Jun 2014 18:39:47 GMT — The City of Albany has set a date and a time for their Independence Day fireworks celebration.According to information released from Kristin Caso with the Albany Recreation and Parks Department, the event will be held July 4 at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds with the gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and fireworks starting at 9:15 p.m.There will be activities for kids, live music all day, and plenty of food vendors on hand.How much will it cost? Admission is:- $2 per person- $5 per car (up to 6 people; additional people $2 per person). Buses are not included in the car price. - All military are free with ID. As for security, they say that no backpacks, bags, coolers, weapons, pets, or personal fireworks will be allowed on the premises and that all participants will go through security screening before entering the fairgrounds gates.
