Albany Fire gives Red Cross $1,200 check

The Albany Fire Department issued a check to the Flint River Chapter of the American Red Cross Friday morning in the amount of $1,200.
The Red Cross steps in and assists victims of fires and disasters who have been displaced. It offers them a temporary place to stay.
Donald Jackson with the Albany Fire Department says the Red Cross has helped out many victims and it's a great organization to partner with.
"It's very important because we don't want to see anyone struggle to figure out where they're going to live from here when their place is destroyed by fire," Donald Jackson said.
Calendars are $6 each and can be purchased from the Albany Fire Department.
