The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission welcomed some familiar faces to their new offices on Tuesday evening for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Until recently, the EDC operated out of the Chamber of Commerce Building to do their business and say the new, private space on Pine Avenue will allow them to establish their own identity.

"The Chamber is one of our important partners but we are a separate organization now and I think the other benefit is it gives us a little more privacy when we meet one-on-one with prospective companies who are coming here to Albany," said EDC President Ted Clem.

Clem says members now hope to utilize their new board rooms to host conferences with their clients all while staying in the heart of Downtown Albany.
