Albany department wins award for 4th year in a row
The City of Albany's Department of Community and Economic Development has officially been named a recipient of the 2014 National Community Development Association John A. Sasso Award. This award recognizes community efforts in showing the Community Development Block Grand Program.
This department has been a recipient of this aware now for four consecutive years.
The National Community Development Week activities were a proclamation signing by the mayor, a post card campaign, and a Give Back Day of donations to A Place For Hope. These were all coordinated by Betty Jackson-Burton and April Mahone.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the CDBG Program.
