The Albany Civic Center will be buzzing tomorrow.
Hundreds of experts, first responders, and concerned citizens are expected to attend Tuesday's symposium on Africanized Honey Bees.
The workshop begins at 9:00am and will provide the latest information for handling an emergency stinging.
At least four officers from the Dougherty County Police Department will be there.
"It's not unusual for our officers, in the course of their duties, to have to check out abandoned buildings or abandoned vehicles â" places where beehives are likely located," said Captain Jimmy Sexton of the Dougherty County Police Department.
73-year-old Albany resident Curtis Davis died as a result of an African Bee attack in October of last year.
