City officials took some extra steps to make sure the roads were safe Monday morning.
The Public Works Department went ahead and laid sand over the Jefferson Street Bridge as a precaution.
They say no roads have iced over this morning, but wanted to make the roads weren't slick.
"We went ahead and sanded some of the approaches to Albany, on those bridges just to make sure in case it did turn freezing right at dawn that we wouldn't have any problems on those bridges," said public Works director, Phil Roberson.
Albany Police say the roads stayed safe for the commute. They only responded to two car accidents this morning.
