Albany Boys and Girls Club gets $25,000 Technology Lab
Those who use the Boys and Girls Club now have access to new state of the art computers thanks to a $25,000 donation. SASCO Chemical Group donated new carpet, furniture and 20 computers to rebuild the Technology Lab at the Jane Willson Unit on Holloway Avenue in Albany.
SASCO's president says the company has worked with the Boys and Girls Club for 47 years. They wanted to help this year by renovating the technology room.
"We just walked in the six year olds are just plowing away at a computer. It's amazing! We're excited to be a part of it! A lot of the kids don't have these computers at home so this is where they get to interact and learn," says SASCO President Marc Skalla.
Skalla says the lab is dedicated to his grandmother who recently passed away and was very involved with the Boys and Girls Club.
