Airport officials go to commission over FAA grants

Albany commissioners have tentatively approved a motion for Southwest Georgia Regional Airport officials to accept two grants from the FAA.
Tue, 18 Jun 2013 15:20:33 GMT — Albany commissioners have tentatively approved a motion for Southwest Georgia Regional Airport officials to accept two grants from the FAA.One grant is to remove remote radios from the current structure into a new facility.The second grant is for the construction of a new facility to hold the radios.Airport officials say they cannot begin the deconstruction phase until the radios are removed from the second floor and placed in a second location.Stay connected to MySouthWestGA.com as stories develop and the FOX 31 Newscast at 10 PM.
