After school snacks and packed lunches in demand
This time of year is especially busy for Second Harvest, an organization that provides children and families in need with food.
Frank Richards, the CEO of Second Harvest, says with kids going back to school some of the things that are in demand are foods that can be packed for lunch and after school snacks.
They also need donations for their Kids Cafe program which provides kids in after school programs with a meal after school and an hour of homework assistance.
Richards says they are also always looking for volunteers. He encourages those who are interested in volunteering to visit the website feedingsga.org or to give them a call.
