ADDU seizes more than $1.5M in drugs so far in 2017
The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit has been making big busts over the last few weeks, continuing a trend officers have seen throughout this year.
In an annual report to the Dougherty County commission on Monday, ADDU Commander Major Prurince Dice said that through October, his officers seized $1,440,224 in drugs.
That's not counting more than $200,000 worth of drugs that Major Dice said they've collected so far in November.
Major Dice said you should expect to see more arrests heading into the holidays.
"Drug dealers have to stay in business to buy presents and buy gifts as well, and so around this time, they know that people have money, and they prey on those individuals who have money to further their operation," he said.
Major Dice said his officers have also seized $28,565 worth of cash through October as well.
