The Lee County Board of Education is working to provide better equipment for their schools, but they'll need help from Lee County residents.

The Board passed the General Obligation Bond Resolution.

The resolution will be placed on the May ballot.

The resolution is a question that residents will vote on that will authorize the school system to sell bonds that will finance things like technology, playground equipment, tennis courts, or even a track.

Lee County Schools Superintendent Lawrence Walters says, "it's moving our school system forward and we'll have up to date facilities in many of these areas. Tennis courts, track these are things that people have requested for many many years."

The voting will take place on May 20th.
