Students at Brunson Martial Arts presented a check for $2,450 to Megan's House on Saturday.

For the months of August and September, Brunson Martial Arts is the "friend" to Megan's House.

For the past several years, Brunson Martial Arts has conducted a spar-a-thon to raise money for local causes.

As a result of their success in fundraising, Brunson Martial Arts will sponsor Megan's House for two months, equaling $1,000 per month for respite care.

The sponsorship helps provide respite care services to families as the cost to operate Megan's House is $100 per day.

Graylon Brunson, owner of Brunson Martial Arts says, "I enjoy teaching kids and there are kids in our community who aren't physically able to do what we can, and so I wanted to be able to help them in other ways."

Megan's House services are provided in three locations: Valdosta, Albany, and Waycross.

For more information about Megan's House, call them at (229) 439-7061.
