      90-year-old Valdosta resident victim of armed robbery

      The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office needs your help after a 90-year-old woman was robbed outside of her home Monday afternoon.

      Investigators responded shortly after 2:00 PM to a home in the 5000 block of North Oak Street extension to the report of an armed robbery.

      The 90-year-old resident reported that while she was outside, an unknown approached her with a handgun and demanded money. The victim took the man inside her home and gave him an unknown amount of cash.

      Officials describe the suspect as a black male, possibly in his mid to late 20's, wearing a red-in-color shirt, dark long pants and had short to medium length hair.
