65 and up must wait for H1N1 vaccine

Public health officials say if you're 65 or older, you need to wait for an H1N1 vaccine.

Deputy health director Brenda Greene says it's because that age group has lower chances of getting H1N1. The CDC identified priority groups based on limited vaccine amounts, which are nearly depleted in southwest Georgia. Dougherty County had fewer than 75 when they opened Tuesday morning.

All health departments will be closed Wednesday for Veteran's Day. All 14 departments will be open until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday if there are still vaccines available.
